A native of Turkey, Yavuz came to the U.S. in 1997, to study architecture at Carnegie Mellon. His interest in computing and graphics led him beyond 2D media to create ideas digitally in 3D. After working for several years as a freelance graphics/web site designer, Yavuz moved to Baltimore and worked in a traditional architecture office for 2 years. In 2004, he was hired by Ayers Saint Gross, Inc. to help found their 3D visualization studio. He still works as their Creative Director in 3D visualization and engages freelance work on a project-by-project basis.
